Manufacturers find success with customer stories
Oct 5, 2009

In Bazaar Blog, they speak about the power of storytelling as it relates to manufacturers, specifically Nu Balance and Under Armour.  I have blogged about it as it relates to retailers, specifically Apple, Whole Foods and REI. True stories are very powerful and, as the saying goes, often stranger than fiction.  In the hands of a good storyteller, successes, challenges, and even failures are potent teaching instruments.  One should look for and at times create opportunities to communicate your stories orally, in print, in the media.  Build the lore of your company, brand, culture and yes even you as a person and, in the process you will create a great relationship with those you are connected.  However always be guided by humility, by being certain the person listening to the story is the beneficiary of the message.
