Aside from the obvious personal detachment and  emotional void resulting from  this popular communications protocol other issues are now coming into play regarding test messaging.  As I read  and reread this article, I  took the time to develop a list of "thumbs up and thumbs down" on text messaging, based upon the arguments these fine writers presented.  Not to my surprise, the negatives were very strong.
